Prison for diamond robber journalist and three policemen

Kathmandu : Journalists and three policemen involved in the diamond robbery have been sent to jail for trial.

The District Court, Makwanpur, has ordered the three men involved in the robbery to be sent to custody and one to be released on bail. On Friday, District Judge Delhi Raj Shrestha ordered the journalists and three policemen involved in the daimond robbery to be sent to jail for prosecution.

Amrit Thing, son-in-law of Dhanalakshmi Gurung, accused of the incident, has been ordered to leave with 25000 bail.

Palung police arrested three other policemen, including journalist Sujan Acharya, on charge of robbing diamonds of Dhanalaxmi Gurung of Kailash village of Makwanpur.
