Kathmandu : Pakistan cricketer Umar Akmal has been banned for three years. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has banned Akmal from playing cricket for three years.
The PCB on Monday banned Umar from playing all forms of cricket for three years for failing to report spot-fixing offer.
According to the PCB, a committee comprising Fazal A Miran Chauhan, chairman of the disciplinary committee, has decided to ban him. He did not inform the PCB when the offer of fixing came before the fifth edition of Pakistan Super League.
Umar, who turns 30 next month, pleaded guilty to not reporting the fixing offers which led to his provisional suspension on February 20 this year.
