Kathmandu : Protesters carrying guns stormed the main government building in Michigan on Thursday, demanding that the Democratic governor immediately remove the corona virus lockdown.
A state police spokesman told NBC News that it is legal in Michigan to carry firearms as long as it’s done with lawful intent and the weapon is visible.
One Democratic state lawmaker posted a photograph of men with rifles standing in a gallery yelling down at lawmakers below. “Some of my colleagues who own bullet proof vests are wearing them,” the state senator Dayna Polehanki wrote on twitter.
This is the second demonstration to remove the lock down this month. Coronavirus has killed more than 3,500 people in the state of Michigan alone, according to Johns Hopkins University.
On April 16, about 3,000 people demonstrated in Lansing. Due to the Demonstration, there was a traffic jam in the capital for some time.
