
Kathmandu : A clash took place between police and locals at Mircheya in Siraha on Monday. Five policemen and four civilians were injured in the clash.
Relief has been distributed to the needy in Mircheya Municipality Ward No. 7 for the last three days.
A clash broke out between police and locals when some people tried to disrupt the relief distribution by shouting while distributing relief on Monday. P
olice fired four rounds of tear gas and nine rounds in the air during the clash. Siraha Police Spokesperson and DSP Binod Ghimire said that they had to fire tear gas and aerial fire after the protesters started throwing stones.
Locals had protested saying that the rich man’s name was included in the list of relief seekers. According to the police, the situation has returned to normal.
