Kathmandu : The number of corona infections in Nepal has reached 99. The number of infected people in Nepal has reached 99 after 17 people in Parsa (Birgunj) tested positive for the virus on Wednesday.
According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 17 of the samples tested at the National Testing Laboratory on Wednesday tested positive.
The infection is positive in people in the age group of 2 months to 66 years. According to ministry spokesperson Dr Bikas Devkota, 10 men and seven women tested positive.
Similarly, three persons who recovered and were discharged after treatment on Bhaisak 11 and 14 have tested positive. They have been admitted to hospital for treatment. According to the ministry, six persons undergoing treatment at Koshi Hospital have recovered and returned home.
At present, 136 people are being treated in isolation, including 7 in the Kathmandu Valley and 129 outside. There are 19,734 people in quarantine across the country.
According to ministry spokesperson Dr Devkota, 14,096 tests have been conducted using the PCR method so far. Similarly, 52,970 people have been tested by RDT method. In the last 24 hours, only 991 people have been tested.
