1821 people under police control for violating lockdown in Kathmandu Valley

Kathmandu : In Kathmandu Valley, 1821 people have been arrested for violating the lockdown. Police have arrested 1,821 people for violating lockdown in three district of the Kathmandu Valley from Thursday morning to evening.

Similarly, 530 vehicles were also taken under control, police said. The highest number of 1,565 people has been arrested in Kathmandu, 238 in Lalitpur and 18 in Bhaktapur.

As the government has issued a nationwide order to lock up the country with effect from 6 am on Chaitra 11 to curb the possible threat of the global epidemic of Covid-19, those violating the lockdown have been arrested and given three hours education and release on Corona, informed Vishwaraj Pokharel informed.
