
Kathmandu : The local administration has decided to close Rautahat completely till May 18. A meeting of the District Security Committee held on Wednesday under the direction of the Ministry of Home Affairs has decided to tighten the lockdown for the next five days.
Chief District Officer Vashudev Ghimire informed that the number of infected people of Covid-19 has increased in the neighboring districts and the decision was taken keeping in view the same situation.
The decision will take effect from 12 noon tomorrow. All markets, businesses and commercial establishments will remain closed during the shutdown.
Essential supplies will be supplies through home delivery as in the past. Also, all the vehicle passes made earlier have been canceled. It has been stated that permission has to be obtained from this district as well as the concerned district administration office while moving out of the district for urgent work.
It is mentioned in the information made public by the District Administration Office that action will be taken against those who disobey the lockdown.
Meanwhile, half a dozen locals including Katahariya, Chadrapur and Brindaban of Rautahat have decided to complete the lockdown.
