“It’s a matter of pride to be able to identify 1.5 million infected people,” Trump

Kathmandu : US President Donald Trump said it’s a badge of honor that the U.S. has more than 1.5 million cases of coronavirus, the highest number of infections globally, saying the total is simply a reflection of a successful testing regime.

At the White House, he said he was “positive” about being able to identify so many infected people.

According to Johns Hopkins University, more than 1.5 million people have been infected in the United States so far, and more than 92,000 people have died from the coronavirus. The cabinet met Monday for the first time since the outbreak of the coronavirus in the United States.

Speaking to reporters during the meeting, Trump said that instead criticizing the United States for being the most infected, the United States should take a more positive view of the issue than any other country.

According to the US Centers for Disease Control, more than 12.6 million tests have been performed in the United States so far.

Opposition groups called for a halt to the 1.5 million cases of the coronavirus, which raised questions about Trump’s leadership.
