
Kathmandu : Coronavirus report of 191 journalists has come negative.
Dr Vasudev Pandey, Director, Epidemiology and Communicable Diseases Control Division, said that all the reports were negative in the test conducted at the National Public Health Laboratory in Teku.
A team from the Epidemiology and Communicable Diseases Control Division of the Ministry of Health and Population under the coordination of the Central Committee of the Federation of Nepali Journalists (FNJ) had collected swabs of 191 journalists working in the national media and online media on Tuesday.
Govinda Prasad Chaulagain, central member of the Federation of Nepali Journalists and coordinator of the health sub-committee of the federation, said that the report of the tested journalist was negative and the report would be distributed to the concerned journalists soon.
Earlier, the report of 70 senior journalists and editors of the Press Council was also negative. The FNJ has also tested journalists from various media outlets working in the Kathmandu Valley after the infection of Covid-19 started appearing in journalists and security personnel.
