Kathmandu : The number of people infected with coronavirus in India is increasing day by day. Statistics show that the number of infected people is increasing daily in the last few days as compared to the previous day.
The figures, released on Wednesday, also show the highest number of infected people in the last 24 hours, officials said. According to him, 8,909 people in India have been infected with the coronavirus in the last hours. At the same time, the number of infected people in the country has reached 207,615 so far, officials said.
Similarly, 5,815 people have died of coronavirus infection in India so far.
According to the information given by the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare of India, 1,01,497 people are still infected in the country. Similarly, health officials said on Wednesday that 1 lakh 303 people have returned home free from infection.
According to the ministry, Maharashtra alone, 72,300 people have been infected. The second most infected state is Tamil Nadu with 24,586 infected people, according to the ministry.
The number of infected people has been on the rise in India due to the recent easing of lockdowns and increased testing, officials said.
