Two more coronavirus related death recorded

Kathmandu : Nepal has recorded two more coronavirus related deaths, on Saturday, which has taken the nationwide COVID-19 death toll to 13.

Health Ministry spokesperson Vikas Devkota told a regular press briefing on Saturday that a 58 year old man from Dolpa’s Jagadulla Gaonpalika Ward No.3 had died of coronavirus infection.

He was suffering from asthma and died on June 3rd. He had returned to Dolpa on June 1st after undergoing treatment for the same disease in Surkhet.

After that, he died in the home quarantine on the June 1st and after the death, the swab was collected on the June 2nd and sent to the Karnali Institute of Health Sciences, Jumla for testing.

Similarly, a laboratory test at Seti Hospital also confirmed corona infection in a woman. She died of kidney failure in Dhangadhi-4 on Friday. After she died at the hospital while undergoing dialysis, a PCR test was conducted on her on suspicion of corona infection, said spokesperson Devkota.

Including this, the number of deaths from Corona in Nepal has reached 13.
