
Kathmandu : In the last 24 hours, 1,034 people have been infected with COVID-19 in the Gulf state of Qatar and the total number of infected people has reached 88,403 by Tuesday, according to Qatar’s health minister.
The Ministry of Health has said that the increase in the number of infections is due to poor gathering, travel and non-compliance with prevention measures and has suggested to maintain social distance and adopt other prevention measures.
A total of 324,570 people have been tested for infection in Qatar, which is a destination for foreign employment from millions of Asian countries including Nepal, India, Pakistan and Bangladesh.
Qatar and China have exchanged support in the fight against Covid-19.
