Two killed in car crash in Banke

Kathmandu : Two people have died in a car accident in Banke this afternoon.

Two persons were killed when a car (Ba 14 Cha 2789) heading from east to west collided head on with a tree at Rapti Sonari Gaonpalika Ward No. 1 Sikta of Banke along the East West Highway, police said.

The deceased have been identified as Kamal Raj Lamsel, 41, of Chitwan’s Bharatpur Municipal Corporation Ward No. 12 and Kshitij Raj Kanwar, 22, of Kawasoti Municipality Ward No. 8 of East Nawalparasi District, said Banke District Police Spokesperson DSP Subash Khadka.

Police said that there were only two passengers in the car and others are being investigated.
