Kathmandu : An employee of the Land Reform and Land Revenue Office, Saptari, has been arrested today on charge of taking bribe.
According to the Commission, a team deployed from the Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority, Itahari, arrested Deputy Subba Krishna Ballabh Thakur of Saptari Rajbiraj.
According to the spokesperson of the commission, Pradip Kumar Koirala, Nasu Thakur, who was working at the office in Rajbiraj, Saptari, was arrested on the charge of taking bribe from a service recipient.
Thakur has been accused of taking bribe for the purpose of giving more land after a trial check.
The commission has stated that further investigation is underway after taking him under control from the office with Rs 13,000 allegedly taken from the service recipient.
