Ambulance driver arrested for carrying fake patient in Kavre

Kathmandu : An ambulance driver carrying a fake patient has been arrested. The arrested has been identified as Jugatlal Mahato, 35, of Babargunj in Chandra Nagar Gaonpalika-3 of Sarlahi.

According to the District Police Office, Kavrepalanchok, Mahato, the driver of the ambulance operated by the Social Development and Environment Protection Association Babargunj Sarlahi, has been arrested this morning from Sanga, the western border point of Kavrepalanchok.

During the preliminary investigation, it was revealed that Mahato had taken Rs. 14000 as fare from Sarlahi to Kathmandu on the condition of taking the passengers.

A case has been registered against Mahato under Article 118 of the Code of Criminal Procedure-2074 BS for violating public interest, health, security, facilities and morality.
