Kathmandu : A young man who went missing after being buried in landslide in the middle of Tanahu’s Byas Municipality-9 has not been found even after two days.
The bodies of three of the four members of the same family who went missing due to the landslide have been found on Monday. According to Arun Poudel, Superintendent of Police, District Police Office, Tanahun, the search for Rajesh Thapa, 20, who went missing due to the landslide, has been on since Monday.
The army is mobilized under the leadership of a co-commander of Kali Bhanjan Gana (E) at Chapaghat in Byas Municipality-5 to search for the missing. An army team is searching for Thapa, who went missing in the area below the house. His mother Kamala Thapa, 40, brother Manoj Thapa, 24, and sister in law Anjana Thapa, 21, died in the landslide. Father Keshav Thapa, 50, is injured. He is undergoing treatment in Pokhara.
At least 11 people have been killed and three others injured in a landslide in Rishing, Myagde and Byas municipalities of Tanahu district.
