
Kathmandu : Portuguese playmaker Cristiano Ronaldo created history on Monday (Jult 20) after the Juventus striker became the first player to score 50 goals in the Premier League, La Liga and Serie A.
Ronaldo scored two goals against Lazio in Juventus 2-1 victory on Monday (local time) at the Allianz Stadium and as a result, he registered 50 goals in Serie A.
The Portuguese’s second half penalty finish against Lazio saw him clock up a half century of goals in the Italian top flight since his arrival in Turin, in addition becoming the fastest player to do so since 1995, Goal.com reported.
In addition, the 35 year old’s converted spot kick means that he has also equalled Giuseppe Signori’s 1994-95 record for penalty goals in a season, with 12 succesful conversions from inside the area.
The Portuguese striker had joined Juventus ahead of the 2018-19 season and he came into the side after a successful stint with Real Madrid, during which he won possibly every major domestic honour and four Champions League titles.
