Kathmandu : Two people have been killed in floods in Sarlahi district.
Bishal Gole, 19, of Lalbandi Municipality-4 has died after being swept away by the river Ambe in Ishwarpur Municipality-4, police said. He was swept away by floods on Tuesday while swimming in the river. His body was found on Wednesday in Bagar of Dakshin Khola, about 3 km from the spot, said Madan Kunwar, police spokesperson of Sarlahi.
Similarly, a man died when he was swept away by the flood while crossing the Kundi canal in Malghata of Ramnagar Bajendra Jha, 45, of the same place. He was swept away by the floodwaters in the canal on Wednesday. Kunwar said his body was found about 500 meters south of the spot.
