
Kathmandu : Authorities have arrested two people for allegedly taking money from Gautam Buddha International Airport in Bhairahawa to facititate land acquisition for the airport project.
A team of the Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority Butwal arrested Bishwanath Yadav, an office assistant at the airport, and Mahendra Prasad Yadav, a local of Matiar, with Rs 4 lakh as bribe.
According to Ratopati website, spokesperson of the commission Suresh Bhusal said that they were caught red handed after taking bribe from the service recipients saying that they would facilitate them to get compensation after acquiring land for the airport project.
Bhusal said that further investigation has been started by bringing both of them to the office of Authority in Butwal.
