One arrested with Rs 1.6 million in Kapilvastu

Kathmandu : One person has been arrested in Kapilvastu with undisclosed resources of Rs 1.6 million. Binod Sonar, 36, of Mayadevi Gaonpalika Ward No. 1 has been arrested with Rs 1.6 million.

According to Inspector Santosh Devkota, the Armed Police Force (APF) took him under control from Mayadevi village Municipality, Ward No. 4, Thakurapur Gobli Bagancha on the basis of special information.

He said that 12 packs of Rs. 1,000 and eight packs of Rs. 500 notes were recovered from the arrested Sonar.

The arrested Sonar and Rs 1.6 million were handed over to the Suthauli Customs Office, said Inspector Devkota.

Police claim that Sonar has been illegally trading gold from Nepal to India.
