Long distance travel and air service will be resumed after September 1

Kathmandu : The government has decided to start long distance transport and air services only after September 1.

A cabinet meeting held on Monday took such a decision on long distance transport and air services, said a minister. According to the Minister, the decision has been taken as per the recommendation of COVID-19 Crisis Management Center (CCMC).

The CCMC meeting that ended on Sunday recommended a reconsideration of the government’s earlier decision, saying Coronavirus epidemic risk was not small.

Earlier, the government had decided to operate long distance transport and air services from August 17.

On Monday, the cabinet also decided to tighten international border checkpoints.
