Kathmandu : Corona infection has been confirmed in 44 police personnel in Biratnagar on the same day.
A test conducted at the state public health laboratory confirmed the infection in 44 people working in Rani. Two of them tested positive Monday evening and 42 on Tuesday afternoon. Among them, there are 10 women and 34 men policemen working at the State Police Office, Biratnagar, were infected.
State Police Chief DIG Ishwar Babu Karki informed that the battalion was sealed after the corona infection started spreading. “We have sealed off the contingent to prevent the spread of the infection,” he said.
According to him, 87 police personnel have contracted corona in Province 1. With the addition of 44 on Tuesday, the number of infected people has reached 131.
