Kathmandu : Police have arrested a young woman from Gajuri Gaonpalika-8 of Dhading with 9 kg and 350 grams of cannabis from Balambu. Pavitra Thing, 22, of Chandragiri Municipality-12 has been arrested in a special oepration of the Metropolitan Police Circle, Thankot.
Chief of the Metropolitan Police Circle, Thankot, Ghanshyam Shrestha confirmed that Pavitra, who was staying in Balambu, was arrested with 9 kg of cannabis. Shrestha said that he husband Phul Bahadur Tamang was absconding.
Pavitra hid the hashish in a zebra bag under the bed. According to the Thankot Police, an investigation has been started into the matter under the Narcotics (Control) Act 2033 BS.
