Kathmandu : Two people have been killed and three others injured in a lightning strike in Surkhet district.
According to DSP Ram Prasad Gharti of the District Police Office, Surkhet, two persons were killed when lightning struck their house at Suraj Bahadur Wali’s house in Barahatal Gaonpalika-1 of West Surkhet on Wednesday night.
According to DSP Gharti, Suraj’s four year old daughter Roshni Wali and his nephew Binod Wali, 11, died on the spot. Suraj’s 10-year old daughter Ganga Wali, 12-year old daughter Amrita Wali and 7-year old son Jai Wali were injured in the incident.
The injured have been brought to Karnali State Hospital, Birendranagar, Kalagaun for treatment, said DSP Gharti.
