Kathmandu : Singer Galgen Dorge Tamang, who was arrested for burning the national flag in a music video, has been remanded in custody for trial.
A bench of Kathmandu District Court Judge Binod Kumar Pokhrel on Monday remanded Tamang in custody for trial. Three persons involved in the same case have been released on Rs 15,000 bail while five others have been released on a normal date.
A case was registered against them in the Kathmandu District Court on Bhadra 24. Galgen was arrested by police from Swayambhu’s Bhagwan Pau.
Galgen Tamang is also a member of the Mongolian group. The music video, shot in Makwanpur, was uploaded from a YouTube channel called ‘Mongol Hop Official’.
