Kathmandu : Police have arrested two persons in Banke along with 10 kg of opium.
A police team deployed from the District Police Office, Banke had arrested them from Kusum Bazaar at around 6:30 this morning on the basis of secret information that they were bringing illegal drugs from Dang to Kusum through Banke.
Among the arrested are Dhan Bahadur Sen, 53, of Puthauttarganga Gaonpalika-8 of East Rukum and Basanta Ghartimagar, 24, of Dang Ghorahi Sub Metropolis-19.
According to Om Bahadur Rana, Superintendent of Police, District Police Office, Banke, opium was recovered during the search. Ten bags of opium made at the rate of one kg were recovered from them in a plastic bag.
