Kathmandu : Police have arrested two persons on the charge of fleeing after buying a 5 tola gold necklace from a gold shop in Lalitpur by giving fake notes.
Ajay Maharjan, 27, of Jyatha in Kathmandu Metropolitan City-27 and Ecuj Tuladhar, 28, of Salagari in Baktapur were arrested.
Police have recovered a counterfeit note printing machine, a laptop, a CPU, 465 counterfeit notes of Rs. 1,000 and 37 genuine notes from them. Police also recovered a gold queen necklace, a tilhari, a gold ring and two mobile phones.
According to the Lalitpur Metropolitan Crime Branch, the Lalitpur District Court on Friday extended the remand of the two for seven days in a money laundering case.
