Kathmandu : An office assistant of Janakpurdham Sub-Metropolis has been arrested for accepting bribe for recommending for citizenship. Dilip Panjiyar, an aide of the Sub-Metropolitan Ward No. 13 office, was arrested on Thursday along with bribe money.
A team from the Bardibas based office of the Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority arrested Panjiyar with a bribe of Rs 24,000 from near the ward office. According to the authorities, he took the money from a service recipient saying that he would recommend him for citizenship.
The Bardibas office of the authority has stated that further investigation has been started after taking him under control.
