Kathmandu : Police have arrested a fugitive defendant in a duty life case who was sentenced to 20 years imprisonment by a court.
The arrested is Subash Sunar, 22, of Bethanchowk Village Municipality-4, Kavre. A team deployed from the Area Police Office, Banepa arrested Sunar while he was hiding in Madhyapur Thimi Municipality of Bhaktapur, said Chief Superintendent of Police (SP) Ravi Poudel.
The arrested Sunar is accused of killing 18 year old Angel Tamang of Chalalaganeshsthan-2 on Kartik 8, 2069. He was sentenced to 20 years imprisonment by the Kavre District Court on Asar 14, 2074.
According to Inspector Yogendra Timilisana of the Area Police Office, Banepa, Sunar has been sent to the Dhulikhel Jail Office to pay for his imprisonment.
