Forest ranger arrested for taking bribe of Rs 12,000

Kathmandu : The Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority has arrested Prem Chandra Bishwakarma, a forest ranger of Sub-Divisional Forest Office, Murgia Rupandehi, on the charge of taking bribe of Rs 12,000.

A team from the Butwal office of the Commission arrested the accused on the basis of information that he had demanded bribe for helping to transport the sawn timber.

According to the spokesperson of the commission, Taranath Adhikari, he was arrested from Kaluni Chowk in Rupandehi Sainamina Municipality-6.
