Kathmandu : India has provided additional ICU ventilators to the Government of Nepal in the fight against the Covid-19 epidemic.
On behalf of the Government of India, Indian Ambassador Vinay Mohan Quatra on Sunday gifted 28 ICU ventilators to Health and Population Minister Bhanubhakta Dhakal for Nepal.
Earlier, India had provided essential health items including paracetamol, hydrochloroquine to Nepal on Bhaishak 10, Covid-19 test kit (RT-PCR) on Jestha 4, ICU ventilator on Shrawan 25 and remedicivir on Bhadra 30.
Speaking at the handover ceremony, Ambassador Quatra said that India stands by the Government of Nepal and the people of Nepal in achieving success in the fight against the Covid-19 epidemic. He also stressed that India has always been committed to providing such necessary assistance.
