Kathmandu : A protected leopard has been found dead in Thulochaur of Lampakhe Community Forest in Chautara-Sangachokgadhi Municipality-4 of Sindhupalchowk.
Locals had informed the police after a leopard weighing about 25 kg was found dead this morning.
The dead leopard was found in the forest about a kilometer above the settlement with head injuries. According to Prakash Sapkota, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Sindhupalchowk, the leopard was suspected to have died during a fight between the two.
The dead leopard was buried near the incident site, said Lokraj Nepal, Chief of the District Forest Office.
