A Committee Has Been Formed to Investigate The Shooting in Mahottari

Kathmandu : The Home Ministry has formed a committee to investigate the shooting by police during a protest against the killing of a girl child in Bardibas, Mahottari.

A three member investigation committee has been formed under the leadership of the Deputy Secretary of the Ministry. Three people were seriously injured in a police firing during the protest, among them Buddhiraj Neupane died.

The ministry said the process of providing relief and compensation to the families of Gulab Khatun and Neupane and to bear the medical expenses of the injured has been taken forward.

The ministry has also pledged to spare no effort in the investigation into the girl’s murder and take action against the culprits.
