Three arrested with counterfeit note and printing machine in Kanchanpur

Kathmandu : Three persons have been arrested in Kanchanpur along with a counterfeit note printing machine.

Among the arrested are Ritika Bam, Her husband Anuj Sharma and Deepak Nath of Bhagatpur. According to DSP Amar Bahadur Thapa Chhetri of the District Police Office, Kanchanpur, Ritika and Sharma were searched in a market in Mahendranagar and two fake notes of Rs 1,000 were found.

After searching the room, additional counterfeit notes, photocopy paper, counterfeit note making machine, scissors and other items were recovered, said Chhetri.

According to him, the two are being investigated by the district court for five days. Deepak was arrested while going to Arun Shah’s shop to but goods with fake notes. Further investigation is ongoing.
