Kathmandu : A fugitive accused in a drug case has been arrested from Jhapa. The arrested is Tek Bahadur Nembang, 65, of Damak Municipality-7.
The district court of Jhapa had sentenced him to two years and six months imprisonment and a fine of Rs 20,000 in a drug case. However, he escaped with 2 years, 4 month and 15 days of imprisonment left.
Police from the District Police Office, Jhapa arrested him from his house on Tuesday on the basis of special information.
He was produced before the district court in Jhapa and ordered to be sent to Chnadragadhi Jail for payment of the remaining jail time, according to Jhapa Police.
