Sub engineer arrested with bribe

Kathmandu : An assistant Sub engineer has been arrested from Syangja along with a bribe.

Bhagwati Raut, a sub engineer working in Bhirkot Municipality under the District Project Implementation Unit of the National Reconstruction Authority, Syangja, has been arrested for taking bribe of Rs 5,000.

A team deployed from the Pokhara Office of the Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority took him under control after he had taken bribe to disburse money for the construction of the house of the earthquake reconstruction beneficiary.

Commission spokesperson Taranath Adhikari said that he was arrested from Bhirkot Municipality-1 with bribe money.
