Kathmandu : Police have arrested four persons from two places in Morang on the charge of being involved in drug brown sugar trade. Four persons have been arrested from Urlabari and Biratnagar.
Brown sugar and weighing scales were also recovered from the arrrested. According to Morang District Police Office Superintendent of Police Santosh Khadka, two persons including an Indian national were arrested from Biratnagar and a young man and a young woman from Urlabari.
Dhajendra Bhattarai of Ratuwamai Municipality-10 and Kavita Limbu, 20, of Miklajung Village Municipality-4 have been arrested from Hotel Haven Valley in Urlabari Municipality-6. Police have recovered 14 grams of brown sugar from them.
Police claim that they came to Nepal from India Pani Tankey and brought drugs for business. A weighing machine used in buying and selling has also been recovered from them.
Police have arrested two persons from Biratnagar Metropolitan City-10 Shanti Chowk on Sunday night. Dhamendra Rajak, 22, of Hanumannagar Kankalini Municipality-6 of Saptari and Mohammad Afroz, 22, of India Araria have been arrested.
Four grams and five hundred ninety milligrams of brown sugar have been recovered from those arrested. They had come to Biratnagar from Jogwani, India with brown sugar.
Police said that they were arrested while they were preparing to sell.
