Kathmandu : Two persons have been killed in a road accident in Jhapa district.
Two persons were killed when a motorcycle (May 7 Pa 9462) collided head-on with a jeep (May 1 Ja 2093) on the Mechi Highway at Buddhashanti gaupalika-4 in Jhapa. According to Jhapa Deputy Superintendent of Police Rakesh Thapa, the deceased have been identified as Kamal Chaudhary, 21, of Arjundhara Municipality-4 and Hema Mahat, 18.
According to him, the injured were rushed to B&C Hospital, Birtamod for treatment. Chalak Kamal died on the way while Hema died while undergoing treatment.
The jeep driver Sanjay Gadal, 26, of Buddhashanti Village Municipality-7 is absconding.
