Kathmandu : Police have arrested two operator of a school on fraud charges.
Shirish Khadka and Surendra Maharjan, the operators of Olympia World School at Baber Mahal, were arrested by the Kathmandu Metropolitan Police on Saturday. According to the premises, they were arrested on the basis of an arrested warrant issued by the court in the fraud case.
According to the police, they had taken Rs 20 million in Bhaishak 2076 saying that they would sell the land in Koteshwor to Krishna Prasad Devkota in the name of the school. But later they did not return the money and sold the land to someone else.
They have been absconding for a long time and they were arrested from Kathmandu on Saturday, said DSP Pramesh Bisht.
