Kathmandu : Suitcase, bags and laptop bags worth more than Rs 9.5 million have been stolen from Harisiddhi in Lalitpur.
The suitcase was stolen from Urban Oasis Enterprises run by Aniruddha Tiwarewal from Harisiddhi in Lalitpur Metropolitan City-28 on Chaitra 23.
DSP Dinesh Ghimire of Metropolitan Police Circle Satdovato said that five persons involved in the theft have been arrested.
Among the arrested are Yam Kumar Shrestha of Sindhuli, Pradip Gautam of Ramechhap, Mahesh Adhikari of Sunsari, Deepak Khadka of Dhankuta and Navin Adhikari. Mahesh Adhikari, a resident of Sunsari’s Mata municipality-6 and living in Kathmandu, is a former employee of Arvan Oasis Enterprises.
After investigating the technology including CCTV footage, the police had arrested the accused involved in the theft from Narephant and Jadibuti.
Police have recovered stolen suitcases and bags from the accused’s residence. They had stolen the vehicle (Ba 21 Cha 7344). DSP Ghimire said that the incident was being investigated.
