Kathmandu : Police have arrested a man for soliciting money to settle a case registered at the District Police Office, Makwanpur.
Sanjog Lama, 30, of Hetauda Sub-Metropolis01 has been arrested, said Spokesperson of the District Police Office, Makwanpur, Jayeshwar Rimal.
A police investigation has revealed that he had taken Rs 40,000 from a victim while he was in the business of writing petitions and complaints to be registered at the police office.
“We have arrested Sanjog after he received a complaint that he had demanded money from the victim saying that he would coordinate all the work with the police,” said DSP Rimal. “We are investigating him.”
