Two children drowned in river

Kathmandu : Two children have drowned while bathing in Gulmi.

According to Purushottam Prasad Pandey, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) of the District Police Office, Gulmi, two children drowned in a river in Sirseni of Madane Gaonpalika-3 of the district.

The deceased have been identified as Suman BK, 5, of Aglung, Madane Gaonpalika-1 and Govinda BK, 8, of Pyuthan Gaumukhi Gaonpalika-5, Khung.

They drowned while bathing in the local Panah Khola at 11:30 in the morning. They died on the way to Purkotdaha Primary Health Center after being found unconscious by his relatives while bathing at a place called Rah of Panahakhola, police said.

Both the bodies are being brought to Gulmi Hospital Tamghas for postmortem, said Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Pandey.
