Kathmandu : Two people have been killed in a tipper accident at Rasuwa on the Pasang Lamu Highway.
The deceased have been identified as Rajendra Tamang, 27, of Kalika Gaonpalika-1, Grang and driver Sagar Tamang, 25. Rajendra was a local Grang Primary teacher.
According to the District Police Office, Rasuwa, Rajendra and Sagar, who were seriously injured in a tipper (Bagmati Pradesh 06-006 Kha 1688) heading towards Kalikasthan from Grang, were rescued by the police and rushed to Rauswa Hospital, where the doctor declared them dead.
District Police Chief Devendra Pandey informed that Ward Chairman of Kalika-1 Malfurpa Tamang, who was riding in the tipper, was sent to Kathmandu for treatment on Thursday morning.
Police estimate that the tipper fell about 200 meters from the road. The deceased have been identified as brothers of the same family.
