Man killed by woman over extramarital affair

Kathmandu : In Bhaktapur’s Suryabinayak Municipality-4, a wife has killed her husband by adding poison to her food.

Police have arrested Parvati Thapa Magar, 29, of Suryabinayak in Dhading on charge of murdering her husband. According to the Metropolitan Police Complex, Bhaktapur, Parvati killed her husband Bishnu Thapa Magar of Anantalingeshwar Municipality, Bhaktapur.

Bishnu had returned from foreign employment on Magh 27, 2072. The next day, after sending her son to school, Parvati mixed poison in food and gave it to her husband, according to the police investigation.

Police arrested the accused five years the murder. Vishnu was taken to Madhyapur Hospital after he had difficulty eating the food given by his wife. He died at the hospital.

Preliminary police investigation have revealed that she killed her husband due to an extramarital affair. While testing the food samples taken from the spot, it has been reported that the food was contaminated with pesticides.

Police arrested her on Wednesday after the deceased’s bother lodged a FIR against his sister in law.
