Kathmandu : The fire in Laxmipur Pattari Gaonpalika-2 Parsa Toll of Siraha has caused damage worth more than Rs 5 million.
Eight houses were burnt to ashes when a fire broke out in the house of a local Rabindra Sah last night.
Dharmendra Ray Danuwar, Ward Chairman of Laxmipur Gaonpalika-2 informed that the fire destroyed all the food items including jewelery, clothes, cash and rice mills.
Locals said that the fire was brought under control with the help of fire engines, police and locals from Lahan Municipality.
Meanwhile, the municipality has distributed 25 kg of rice, two kg of Dal, two kg of salt, one liter of cooking oil, half a kilo of soybean, two soaps, Rs 1,000 cash and a tripod to the fire victims.
