Kathmandu : Two persons have been injured when a vehicle collided with a divider and caught fire in Janakpur.
The incident took place at around 7 : 45 pm on Saturday in front of the Janakpurdham based office of the Chief Minister and the Council of Ministers.
A preliminary investigation by the police has revealed that the fire broke out after the cylinders in the vehicle collided with each other in the accident.
According to Deputy Superintendent of Police Makendra Kumar Mishra, two out of a dozen people were injured while returning to Janakpur from Mahendranagar in Dhanusha.
The number of the damaged vehicle has not been revealed yet. According to the Dhanusha Police, the vehicle was speeding and the accident took place when it went out of control.
Deputy Superintendent of Police Mishra said that the fire broke out after hitting a divider in the middle of the road. He said that driver was absconding and was being searched.
