Kathmandu : Various student organizations have locked up the Far Western University on Saturday demanding postponement of the exams.
The university has been preparing to conduct the examination since Bhaishak 16.
Student organizations have locked up the central office and the office of the Controller of Examinations, saying that the university is going to conduct examinations even in the epidemic of corona virus.
Aneraswavyu president Rohit Gajurel, Nevisangha’s Vikram Budha, Akhil (Revolutionary)’s Ganesh Raj Mishra, Akhil (Revolutionary) president Nagendra Joshi, Akhil VI’s Dipendra Karki and Scientific Socialist Students union president Shankar Bohara issued a statement on Saturday saying that the university was locked after he failed to reach a conclusion despite repeated discussions with the university officials.
The students have demanded to stop conducting examinations in Corona epidemic saying that it would be a health risk. They also demanded health care, quarantine and isolation of Corona’s infected student and staff as soon as possible.
