Kathmandu : Gold will not be imported during lock down period
FNCCI General Secretary Dharmasundar Bajracharya said that the decision was taken to stop the import of gold as there would be no trade in gold in major cities of the country due to the lockdown.
At present, 20 kg of raw gold is being imported through banks every day.
“There will be no business in major cities from Thursday, so we decided to stop imports,” said General Secretaty Bajracharya. The federation has also decided to stop the trade of gold and silver in the areas where the lock down has been declared, including the office of the federation.
The federation has stated that the market trading price of gold will continue to be determined during the lock down period.
