Kathmandu : Police have taken action against 1,238 vehicles violating the ban, including government vehicles, which came out on the day of the holiday.
Kathmandu Chief District Officer Kali Prasad Parajuli said that the government vehicles that came out on the road on Saturday were held as per the policy of tightening the ban.
According to Prajia Parajuli, even at the time of the ban, the traffic has been tightened due to the increase in traffic. He said that the checkpoints have been tightened in Kathmandu, Lalitpur and Bhaktapur district of the Kathmandu Valley.
Meanwhile, a team of District security Committee Officials, including Kathmandu Chief District Officer Parajuli, has also inspected various places in the valley.
Parajuli said that they have been inspected to see if the ban has been complied with. A similar team has reached Veer Hospital and inquired about the treatment status of the corona infected.
A one week ban has been issued in the Kathmandu Valley from Thursday after the corona infection spread rapidly.
