Kathmandu : Violence has been raging in West Bengal since last Sunday after the results of the Assembly elections became public.
In the last 24 hours, three more people have been killed in different parts of the state and the death toll has reached 17. According to official figures, 17 people have been killed in violence across the state since Sunday night.
The BJP has claimed that nine of them were its cadres, while the TMC has accused the BJP of killing seven of its own people. One person has been identified as an activist of the Indian Secular Front.
Meanwhile, reports of vandalism and arson are also coming from some parts of the state.
